CIVIL REGISTRY

In order to obtain civil registry certificates from the Algerian Embassy of Athens, it is recommended to contact the Consular Affairs department in order to submit birth, marriage or death certificates issued by local authorities of Greece and Albania (covered country).

The consular department of the Algerian Embassy in Athens performs birth, death and marriage registrations only if the events in question have taken place in Greece or Albania.

The Algerian Nationality is a prerequisite for the registration of acts.

It is free of charge.

Citizens who are not registered at the Embassy can apply for the registration of acts; but the applicant must hold proof of his/her Algerian nationality and identity (Algerian passport, National Card of Algerian Identity-CNIA) and deposit the documents required for the registration.
