Celebration of 63rd Anniversary of National Immigration Day 1961/2024

إحياء الذكرى 63 لليوم الوطني للهجرة-

  • تحت شعار "فخر الانتماء ... ومسيرة الوفاء نقف اليوم تخليدا لليوم الوطني للهجرة، محطة من المحطات الخالدة التي نؤكد فيها، في كل مرة، اعتزازنا بتاريخنا الوطني، ونجدد من خلالها العهد والوفاء مع شهداء ومجاهدي ثورتنا المظفرة الذين لم يترددوا طرفة عين في التضحية بالنفس والنفيس لنيل الحرية واسترجاع السيادة الوطنية وقهر الاستعمار الغاشم.  فكانت ثورة الهمت ولا تزال العالم بأسره.
  • انها الذكرى الثالثة والستين لخروج الـمهاجرين الجزائريين المقيمين في فرنسا آنذاك في مظاهرات حاشدة تعبر تعبيرا راسخا عن انخراط تام في مسارِ ثورة التحرير المظفرة وعن تلاحم ملحمي مع إخوانهم الجزائريين بالداخل وعن ايمان لا يهتز ولا يتزعز بعدالة القضية ووحدة الهدف وقوة العزيمة الوطنية وكليتها في الاستجابة لنداء الوطن نداء نوفمبر العزة والكرامة.
  • وقد قابلت سلطات الاستعمار الفرنسي تلك المظاهرات بأبشع صور القمع والاضطهاد والتعذيب والتنكيل ليصل بها الأمر إلى الالقاء بهم في نهر السين الذي سيبقى شاهدا على تلك المجازر المروعة.
  • إن تضحيات أبناء الجزائر الشامخة بالخارج إبان الثورة، واسهاماتهم في بناء الجزائر المستقلة، الجزائر المنتصرة، ستظل حاضرة لا تغيب، تحثنا على العمل دون هوادة من أجل حماية وخدمة الجالية الوطنية التي تحرص السلطات العليا للبلاد على السهر عليها.
  • وقد أكد رئيس الجمهورية السيد عبد المجيد تبون في رسالته بهده المناسبة الغالية، وأقتبس" حِرْصَ الدَّوْلَةِ الـمُسْتَمِر على الدِّفَاعِ عَنْهُمْ، وَرِعَايَةِ مَصَالِحِهِم .. وَتَوْفِيرِ الشُّرُوطِ الـمُثْلَى لإنْدِمَاجِهِم في مَسَارِ التَّقْوِيمِ وَالتَّجْدِيدِ الوَطَنِيّ، وَفي دِينامِيكِيَّةِ التَحَوُّلِ بالجزائر نَحْوَ الـمُسْتَقْبَل بِرُؤْيَةٍ جَدِيدَةٍ وَاثِقَةٍ في مُقَدَّرَاتِ البِلاد، وَفي كَفَاءَاتِها، وَوَعْيِّ شَبَابِهَا وَشَعْبِهَا بِالتَّحَدِّيَاتِ، وَمُؤْمِنَةٍ بِكَسْبِ الرِّهَانَاتِ، وَتَحْقِيقِ أحْلامِ شُهَدَائِنَا الأبْرَار بجزائرَ مَرْفُوعَةِ الرَّأْسِ، جزائرُ الوَطنِيَةِ وَالكرَامَةِ، الـمُتَمَسِّكَةِ بِـمَبْدَأ الحَقِّ وَالإنْصَافِ فِيمَا يَتَعَلَّقُ بِـمِلَفِّ الذَّاكِرَة، الّذي تُحَاوِلُ أوْسَاطٌ مُتَطَرِفَةٌ تَزْيِيفَهُ، أو إحَالَتَهُ إلى رُفُوفِ النِّسْيَانِ، في وَقْتٍ تَحْتَاجُ فِيهِ مَسْأَلَةُ الذَّاكِرَة إلى نَفَسٍ جَدِيدٍ مِنْ الجُرْأَةِ وَالنَّزَاهَةِ للتَّخَلُّصِ مِنْ عُقْدَةِ الـمَاضي الاستعماري، وَالتَوَجُّهِ إلى مُسْتَقْبَلٍ، لا إصْغَاءَ فِيهِ لِزُرَّاعِ الحِقْدِ وَالكَرَاهِيَةِ، مِمَّنْ مَازَالوا أَسِيرِي الفِكْرِ الاسْتِعْمَارِيِّ البَائِــــدِ.." نهاية الاقتباس

Important: Algerian Independence Day celebration

 

On the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of Algeria's independence, July 5, 1962 - July 5, 2024, the Algerian Embassy in Athens has the honour to invite the members of the Algerian Community established in Greece and in Albania to a photo exhibition devoted to the Algerian Glorious Revolution. The exhibition will take place in the premises of the Embassy in Athens, 14, Vassileos Konstantinou ave., from July 2nd to 12th, 2024. Your presence will be our greatest honor.

In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic and the directives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, the Embassy of Algeria in Athens informs all members of our community residing in Greece and Albania, holders of valid foreign passports, that they can, exceptionally, starting from May 1st until October 31st, 2024, enter and exit the national territory without a visa, as long as they fulfill the following conditions:

- Presentation of valid foreign passport along with the Algerian biometric national identity card (CNIBE), even if expired

- For our citizens who do not possess the Algerian biometric national identity card, presentation of a valid foreign passport along with the expired Algerian biometric passport.

23rd International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (SITEV) 2024

 

We are pleased to announce that the 23rd International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (SITEV) will be organized, under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts, at the Exhibition Center, Pins Maritimes, in Algiers, from the 30th May to the 2nd June 2024.

The upcoming edition of SITEV-2024, considered a must-attend event that can bring together tourism industries and travel professionals as well as Algerian and foreign stakeholders from public and private sectors, with the aim to present their offers in terms of promoting tourism and their brands, including many other services.

To this end, the Greek companies and tourism stakeholders are invited to participate in this important event.

The 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum is scheduled to take place on March 2nd, 2024, with side-events starting on February, 29th, 2024 at the International Conference Centre "Abdelatif RAHAL" in Algiers.

This Summit serves as an important platform for strengthening international cooperation and discussing current challenges in the gas field and the future of the gas industry. Algeria looks forward to the arrival of leaders, heads of delegation, delegates and major actors from around the world, in order to start a strategic dialogue and collaborative efforts paving the way for a sustainable, secure and prosperous energy future, especially to make natural gas an environment – friendly  source of energy.

The Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines, Mr. Mohamed ARKAB, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Mr. Karim BIBI TREKI, and the Minister of Communication, Mr. Mohamed LAAGAB, have proceeded, on the 6th of December 2024, to the launch of the 7th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum’s official website.

This website aims to provide a digital space regarding this important global event in the gas and gas industry fields. This digital portal, with its high and fast technical characteristics, as well as dynamic content, is provided with all the relevant information related to the preparations for this Summit and the technical and scientific information about the gas field and other connected areas, in addition to information that participants might find practical and useful.

Algeria commemorates the 61st anniversary of Victory Day

 

19 March 2023 - The Ambassador of Algeria in Athens and the Staff of the Embassy commemorated the 61st anniversary of Victory Day, which corresponds to March 19, 1962, the anniversary of the signing of the Evian Accords, by observing a minute of silence and reciting the Fatiha in memory of our brave Martyrs.
The date of March 19, 1962 constitutes an important milestone in the history of the Algerian Nation and the Evian Accords are the consecration of the struggles and sacrifices of the Algerian people and symbolize the victory of their revolution after 7 and a half years of a liberation war, which forced the occupant to negotiate peace with the Algerian revolutionaries and to recognize the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Algeria and the right of its people to self-determination.
 

Algeria commemorates the National Chahid Day

February 18th, 2023 - Since 1990 and on February 18th of each year, Algeria commemorates the National Chahid Day, in recognition of the sacrifice and heroism of the million and a half martyrs who gave what they held most dear, their lives, for Algeria to live free and independent. This occasion once again reminds us of the duty of loyalty to their memory and commitment to their footsteps in the service of the country.

The Embassy of Algeria in Athens and members of the Embassy commemorated Chahid Day by observing a minute of silence and reciting the Fatiha in memory of our brave Martyrs.

COMMEMORATION OF THE NATIONAL DAY OF MEMORY : 08 MAY 1945 - 08 MAY 2024

 

The Staff of the Embassy of Algeria in Athens, together with members of the Algerian Community established in Greece, commemorated, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, the National Day of Memory to pay tribute to the 45.000 civilian victims of the massacres perpetrated on 8 May, 1945 in the cities of Setif, Guelma and Kherrata, by the French occupation forces against the demonstrators who, taking advantage of the festivities marking the end of the 2nd World War, demonstrated in several cities of the country to peacefully claim the freedom and independence of Algeria.

Algeria celebrated, on 8 May 2021, for the first time, the “National Memory day”, instituted by Mr Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, President of the Republic, on May, 2020, with the main objective of raising awareness among new generations of Algerians of the sacrifices made over the years by their elders, to enable Algeria to achieve independence and the Algerian people to live free and regain their dignity.

After observing a minute of silence and reciting the Fatiha in memory of the victims of these massacres, the participants heard a brief presentation in which were underlined the importance of this painful stage in the Algerian liberation struggle and the need to perpetuate among all generations the flame of patriotism which enable the brave Algerian resistance fighters to overcome 132 years of abject and brutal colonization.

Commemoration of the 63rd anniversary of the demonstrations of December 11, 1960

Under the slogan " The saga of a people who wanted to live ”, the Ambassador of Algeria to the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of Albania, Mr. Mahieddine Djeffal commemorated together with the Embassy staff the 63rd anniversary of the December 11th, 1960 demonstrations.

After observing a minute of silence and reciting El-Fatiha in memory of our valiant martyrs, the participants listened to a presentation underscoring the significance of this landmark day in which the Algerian people reaffirmed to the colonizers and to the whole world its support and adherence to the National Liberation Front and its glorious revolution.

This Nationwide demonstrations constituted a historic turning point, as the United Nations was quick to adopt on 19 december 1960, the resolution 1573 (XV) by which it recognized the right of the Algerian people to self-determination and independence, the imperative need for adequate and effective guarantees to ensure the successful and just implementation of the right to self-determination on the basis of respect for the unity and territorial integrity of Algeria. March 1st, 2023 - The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed its deepest condolences to Greece via a post on Twitter: 

"Following the collision between two trains in central Greece, which caused many deaths and injuries, Algeria extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and its sincere prayers for a speedy recovery for the injured.

Algeria also expresses its sympathy with the Hellenic Republic in this painful circumstance."
