FIRST REGISTRATION
The documents required for a first registration at the Consulate are the following:
- First registration application form duly filled and signed by the applicant
- Original Algerian identity document (passport or identity card)
- Certificate of Algerian nationality or in lack thereof, if applicants are born in Algeria, they must provide an integral copy of their father’s birth certificate and if applicants are born outside Algeria, they must provide a birth certificate issued at the Embassy that covers the place of birth, along with the integral copies of the birth certificates of both father and paternal grand-father, born in Algeria
- Birth certificate
- Criminal record
- Copy of naturalization decree, if the applicant has acquired the Algerian nationality
- Copy of Residence permit in Greece or Albania or a valid Greek Identity card and a copy thereof
- Proof of residence in Greece or Albania (not older than 3 months), rental receipt, electricity bill payment receipt or any other document and a copy thereof
- Proof of employment: pay slip, school attendance certificate, retirement card or other document, if necessary, and a photocopy thereof
- Six (6) identical recent identity card photos
- Copy of the marriage certificate or copy of family record booklet (for married citizens)
- The divorce decree (original and photocopy) for divorced women.
Please note: The spouse has to present the same documents listed above and a marriage certificate
Documents required for minors:
- If the child was born in Algeria, full copy of the birth certificate
- If the child was born abroad, birth certificate issued by the Consulate covering place of birth
- Photocopy of residence permit or Greek identity card and a copy thereof
- Two (2) identical recent identity card photos
Important: The presence of the father or legal guardian is compulsory for the issuance of any document concerning the minor child.
