HOW TO OBTAIN A BIOMETRIC PASSPORT

Registration at the Algerian Embassy in Athens is a prerequisite forobtaining a biometric passport with a ten-year validity.

Biometric passport applications are submitted by the concerned citizen in person from Tuesday to Friday upon appointment.

The presence of children under the age of 12 is not necessary providing that the photos in their files are representative (see section: photo standards). Children aged above 12 need to be present and accompanied by:

• The father
• The mother in case the father is foreigner, if the mother is holder of a paternal authorization or in case of custody after divorce
• The legal guardian, in the absence of parents.
